Pre-drywall walk through

Jeremiah was in Indiana this weekend, in part to do the pre-drywall walk through of the house.  There isn't as much to report from the walk through as I had anticipated, but Jeremiah sent some photos and thoughts.  He met with Bob and with the electrician for the house.  He was very impressed with the electrician, and he was pleased with how flexible Bob was when discussing possible light fixtures, extra outlets, etc.  Jeremiah was really happy with the interior space and how well everything seems to flow.

We are now in the process of choosing the options for the house.  Some things have very defined parameters, like the carpets and the lighting.  Other things are wide open.  For example, we can choose any two Sherwin Williams colors we want for the interior of the house.  That means we have over 1,500 colors to choose from!  When Jeremiah asked about tile or the built-in benches in the house, Bob basically said we should send photos of what we like.  It's pretty amazing to have so much choice, and I have to admit that I'm happy the options are limited in some cases.

Next week, the electrical will go in and hopefully the siding will be installed.  Bob is hoping that the electrical and plumbing can be inspected early the following week and then the drywall can go up.
